Yes. GASA has multiple layers of data protection:

  • ๐Ÿ“ฅ Auto-backup: season data exports automatically after every match
  • โฑ๏ธ Periodic backup: automatic backup every 3 minutes while the app is open

โœ… Your data is protected. GASA automatically creates backup files in your Downloads folder. You won't lose your season data.
Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in two places:

  1. Your browser's storage: all match data, rotation stats, and season information are stored locally on your device. This lets the app work offline and load instantly.
  2. Backup files: GASA automatically exports backup files (GASA_season_backup.json) to your Downloads folder after every match.
๐Ÿ“ Important: Your data is stored on your device, not in the cloud. That means it's private and secure, but you'll need to transfer backup files if you switch devices.
How do I backup my season data?

GASA automatically backs up your data. After every match ends, a backup file is created in your Downloads folder.

Manual backup (optional):

  1. Open GASA and go to Settings
  2. Click "Save Season Data"
  3. A file named GASA_season_backup.json downloads
  4. Keep this file safe (email it to yourself, save to cloud storage, etc.)

We recommend: emailing yourself the backup file after important tournaments or every few weeks during the season.

How do I restore my data from a backup?

To load your season data from a backup file:

  1. Open GASA and go to Settings

๐Ÿ Using GASA
What volleyball formats does GASA support?

GASA supports both major rotation systems:

  • International (Z1-Z6): used globally, numbered by zone
  • American (R1-R6): used in the USA, numbered by rotation

You can switch between systems anytime in Settings. The app supports:

  • Indoor 6v6 volleyball (all levels)
  • Best-of-3 and best-of-5 matches
  • Rally scoring (25 points per set, 15 for the deciding set)
How do I track a match?

It's simple:

  1. Setup: enter opponent name, starting rotation, who serves first
  2. During the match: tap the score button for your team whenever you score a point
  3. The app handles: rotation tracking, who's serving, set changes automatically
  4. Between sets: review rotation performance and recommendations
  5. End of match: click "End Match" to finalize and auto-backup data
โœ… That's it. GASA automatically tracks everything: rotations, momentum, win probability, and gives you strategic recommendations.
What is PS%, SO%, and RV?

These are GASA's core metrics for rotation analysis:

  • PS% (Points Scored %): how often your team scores while serving from this rotation. Higher means a stronger serving rotation.
  • SO% (Side Out %): how often your team scores while receiving serve in this rotation. Higher means a stronger receiving rotation.
  • RV (Rotation Value): overall rotation strength, calculated as (Points Earned โˆ’ Points Lost) รท Times Used. Positive means a winning rotation, negative means a losing rotation.

These metrics help you identify which rotations to start in and which need improvement.

Can I generate reports from my data?

Yes. GASA includes professional PDF report generation:

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Complete match statistics
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Rotation performance breakdown
  • ๐ŸŽฏ PS%, SO%, and RV for each rotation
  • ๐Ÿ“„ Professional formatting for team meetings

Generate reports from the Analysis page after any match. Good for sharing with players, assistant coaches, or athletic directors.

Does GASA work offline?

Yes. Once the app loads, it works completely offline. Good for gyms with poor cell service.

You'll need internet to:

  • Load the app initially
  • Verify your license key

But during matches, GASA works with no internet connection required. All data is saved locally on your device.

๐Ÿ”ง Troubleshooting
I lost my license key. What do I do?

Your license key is in the email Payhip sent you when you subscribed. Check:

  1. Your inbox for emails from Payhip
  2. Your spam or junk folder
  3. Search your email for "GASA" or "Get Ahead Stay Ahead"
Still can't find it? Contact us with your purchase information and we'll help you recover it.
The app isn't loading. What should I check?

Try these steps:

  1. Check your internet: make sure you're connected
  2. Clear browser cache: Settings โ†’ Privacy โ†’ Clear browsing data
  3. Try a different browser: Chrome, Safari, and Firefox all work
  4. Update your browser: make sure you're on the latest version
  5. Restart your device: sometimes a simple restart helps

If the problem persists, contact support with details about your device and browser.

I accidentally clicked the wrong score. Can I undo it?

Yes. During live scoring, use the "Undo Last Point" button to correct mistakes. This removes the most recent point scored and adjusts the rotation tracking accordingly.

You can undo multiple points in a row if needed.

Can I edit match data after a match ends?

Currently, once a match ends, the data is finalized. This ensures data integrity for statistical analysis.

Best practice: use "Undo Last Point" during the match to correct any errors before clicking "End Match".
